From Concept to Completion : How We Create Your Custom Rug
1. Initial consultation & Creative Brief
The journey begins with a conversation. We invite interior designers, architects, or clients to share as much as possible about their vision: • Inspiration images or moodboards • Room photos or layouts • Preferred color palettes or materials • Intended application (indoor, outdoor, commercial, residential, high-traffic, etc.) • Desired shape, size, and style • Functional needs (washable, pet-friendly, low-pile, etc.) • Target budget and timeline
2. Material & Technique Recommendation
Based on your input, we propose the best materials (wool, silk, bamboo silk, recycled PET, cotton, etc.) and production techniques (hand-knotted, hand-tufted, flat-weave, etc.) suited to your needs, aesthetic, and budget. We also discuss: • Yarn types and fiber blends • Pile heights and textures • Finishing details (fringes, edges, backing, etc.) • Color matching options using poms, Pantone, or textile samples
3. Design Development & Renderings
Once we align on the creative direction, we create digital renderings of your rug design(s). These 2D or 3D visuals help you (and your client) understand the composition, colors, proportions, and overall mood of the rug. • Renderings are typically delivered within 48–72 hours. • We revise them if needed until you’re satisfied.
4. Strike-Off Production
Once the design is approved, we move to a strike-off: a small handmade sample of the rug, showing the exact color, texture, material, and technique. • Strike-off production takes approx. 3 weeks. • We ship the sample directly to you or your client. • If color or texture adjustments are needed, we reproduce the strike-off accordingly.
5. Final Approval & Full Production
Once the strike-off is approved, we begin full rug production. The production timeline varies based on rug size, complexity, and technique — typically between 4 and 10 weeks. You’ll receive updates throughout the process.
6. Quality Control & Finishing
Each rug is carefully finished and quality-checked by hand before shipment. We ensure every detail matches the approved specifications.
7. Shipping & Delivery
We arrange door-to-door shipping worldwide, managing all logistics and customs. Depending on your location and shipping method, delivery can take from a few days to two weeks. We also provide: • Installation advice if needed • Care and maintenance instructions • Support for white-glove service upon request
8. Ongoing Support
We stay available for any follow-up: • Additional orders • Recolorations for future projects • Maintenance questions • New design collaborations
